     We are a local family-operated ranch and wedding venue with a passion for ranch life, animals, and the outdoors. When we started looking for our own wedding venue, we realized that none of the places we visited truly felt like "us." So, we decided to create something different—a dream wedding venue where rustic charm meets elegance, nature provides the perfect backdrop, and every couple can bring their vision to life. Our goal was to build a place where love, beauty, and the spirit of ranch life could come together to create unforgettable memories.

Much like the classic song "Don't Stop Believin'," Jess is a small-town girl, and Ryan was the city boy... just not from South Detroit. Jess grew up in Lamont County as the farmer’s daughter, surrounded by horses and 4H, while Ryan grew up in Sherwood Park, always knowing the city life wasn’t for him. He moved out to the country at 18, and since then, he’s learned all the ins and outs of ranch life. Together, we share a love for this land, and now, we’re excited to share it with you!

JR Ranch established its roots in 2020, originally located in the Ardrossan area. As the ranch grew, we found the perfect new spot in June 2021—one with plenty of space for the critters and beautiful walking trails, multiple ponds, and acres of fields that stretch as far as the eye can see. Over the past few years, we’ve worked hard to improve and expand the property, ensuring that every corner of JR Ranch is perfect for our guests. This includes our newest addition, "The Barn," a beautiful space for weddings and events.
