Welcome to JR Ranch!

     We are a local family operated ranch that want to share our love for the ranch life with others! Ever heard the song, "Don't Stop Believing"?! Well, that song was written for us! Just kidding. But very much like the song, Jess is just a small town girl and Ryan was the city boy... just not from South Detroit. Jess grew up in Lamont County, where she was the farmer's daughter, and her passion for horses as a child has carried onto adulthood. She was a member of 4H growing up and has always cared deeply for animals, which included getting stuck on bottle feeding duties when the calves needed it. Ryan grew up in Sherwood Park. Although he was born and raised in town, he always knew it wasn't where he wanted to be so when he turned 18, he moved out to the country. Since then, he has learned a lot of tips and tricks around the ranch and never shy's away from learning something new. 

     JR Ranch established its roots in 2020, originally located in the Ardrossan area. It didn't take long until JR outgrew their homestead and started the search for a new beginning. In June 2021, JR finally found the perfect spot with plenty of space for all the critters.  JR Ranch has multiple pens set up for all the animals, beautiful walking trails through the wood lands, multiple ponds, and even 30 acres of crop fields to grow the animal's feed. Over the past few years, JR has worked tirelessly to improve and upgrade the facilities to ensure everyone has a perfect spot. This includes chicken coops, bunny houses, multiple cross fenced pens, and of course the newest addition, "The Barn". 

     At JR Ranch we have a true passion for everything animals and outdoors and want to share that love with YOU! We are happy to offer multi different goods and services to bring our passion to you!
